Bird Walk with Travis Audubon Joshua Springs Park Nov 13

Event Chair: Sherie Gee

Bexar Audubon and Travis Audubon members are invited to this bird walk at Joshua Springs Park and Preserve near Comfort.  This Kendall County park features natural springs feeding a lake and great habitat variation. Trip is limited to 10 members from Bexar Audubon. Ken Butler (kenbbutler67@gmail.com; 713-409-8656), BAS Secretary, will lead this bird walk at Joshua Springs Park and Preserve at 716 FM 289 in Kendall County, located on the west side of I-10 between Boerne and Comfort. Take Exit 533 from I-10 and continue on FM 289 until you reach the park (you will cross under I-10). Meet in the main parking lot near the Joshua Springs pond (next to the public restroom building). The general walk will cover the pond dam, South Bank Loop, Sotol Ridge, Billy Goat-to-Allen Creek Trace, and then come back to the parking lot along the Two Creeks Rd/trail. We will explore a variety of habitats with some moderate elevation changes. Bring water. If you need to delete your name after signing up, please let Sherie Gee know (outings@bexaraudubon.org).
