Meetings & Events
Our online presentations offer excellent speakers covering a wide variety of topics related to birding, conservation, mammals, insects, and more. Our November 8th monthly meeting (in-person and via Zoom) will feature Dr. Craig Farquhar of Texas State University to discuss discuss his new book, Raptors of Texas. A signed copy will be raffled. Stock Up on Bird Seed for Fall Migration
Late summer trips call for lots of snacks—or in this case, seeds! Now that fall migration has begun, you can help birds fuel up for their long-haul journeys by offering a birdseed buffet.
From single-seed bags of nutrient-rich black oil sunflower seeds and specialized nyjer seed, to a wide range of songbird blends and suet cakes, all of our blends are informed by our science and designed with birds in mind. Plus, each purchase supports our vital conservation work.
Birds are incredibly adaptive and resilient, but even a little effort on our part can help them go a long way. Available in-store and online at Lowe's locations nationwide, give migratory birds a helping hand with Audubon’s seed, feed, and suet.

The National Audubon Society has created a guide to buying a spotting scope and a guide to buying binoculars. The guides break down suggestions by price-range. You can also visit our local retail partner, Wild Birds Unlimited, for additional information.
Bird Information for Kids
Bexar Audubon has developed two new guides for young birders to help them learn about backyard birds. You can print the two-page guides in Spanish or English versions. Budding birders will enjoy using these colorful and easy to read references!
Follow a Bird's Migration Story
Kids play an interactive game following the migration journeys of five species. Then, they write their own migration story. Click on the image above to access the website.

2023-24 Duck Stamps Now Available!
