The park is located along the scenic Guadalupe River and used to be a pecan orchard. The pathway is flat with a combination of asphalt and a natural surface. After the walk\, we can go to the Burnt Bean Company BBQ restaurant at 108 S. Austin St. in downtown Seguin. \nThe bird walk is limited to 15 people. SUMMARY:Golden-cheeked Warbler Surveys Begin
DESCRIPTION:Golden-cheeked warbler (GCW) (Setophaga chrysoparia) point count surveys will be conducted at six survey sites in the Southernmost Edwards Plateau\, which is designated an Important Bird Area (IBA) by the National Audubon Society. Sites include Maverick Ranch\, Friedrich Wilderness Park\, Government Canyon State Natural Area\, Eisenhower Park\, Bracken Cave Preserve\, and Albert and Bessie Kronkosky State Natural Area. Surveyors are needed to help with the point counts five times between March 15 and June 15.
